Agnes was the wife of an Episcopal rector, Reverend Edgar L. Sanford and had 3 children, Ted (oldest) still alive, Virginia and John (youngest). Virginia Sanford, died Nov. 4 1987. John (Jack) Sanford died Monday, October 17, 2005.

John A. "Jack" Sanford (1929–17 October 2005) was a Jungian psychoanalyst and Episcopal priest.

He worked as a parish priest for 19 years then started private practice as a psychoanalyst focusing on psychology, religion and inner growth. He has been a mentor for Journey into Wholeness since its beginning in 1977.

He was the son of Agnes Sanford (1897-1982), the founder of the Inner Healing Movement.

He is the author of a number of books including:
